  I have attended Lyons First Christian Church for nearly 20 years. We were warmly welcomed and drawn in and the people are now our spiritual family. Sadly, we are far fewer than we were, due in part to members moving or passing on, and in part to the lack of young families becoming involved. But those of us who remain love and care for one another and try to extend that love and care beyond our walls. We meet for Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays, Hospitality Coffee at 10:30, and worship at 10:45. In addition, we share our building with a Hispanic congregation, Tower Fuerte, that meets here at 1 p.m. on Sundays.

  I came to the First Christian Church to attend a memorial service for my great aunt, Loyce Fox. After meeting her friends and the pastor of the church, I understood why she had been a member for so long. The ladies of the church had prepared food for all of the Foxes who had come to pay tribute to Loyce. Thanks again for the lunch and the fellowship.
